The Preventionist Faith and Ibukun vaccinated Ogun state against Hepatitis B and typhoid

Today 15th of Oct 2021 Odeji pharmacy and store limited flag off a campaign and vaccination exercise to the people of Akute community and its environ.

The vaccination exercise was carried out by Mrs Faith Ehinmore, the preventionist. She explained to the participants, the importance of hepatitis B screening and vaccination. She also emphasized on the importance  of typhoid vaccination.

Several people are dying of Hepatitis B because It was not discovered earner. Meanwhile the preventionist said  if this deadly virus is discovered at the inactive stage, when it has not damage the liver, the victim can  still manage it to an extent.

The most sad effect of this virus is that it can only be managed not cured. However, management of it is highly expensive for commoners. Therefore it’s better  to prevent a disease rather than curing it.

Mrs Ibukun Ogundeji, the CEO ODEJI Pharmacy and store Ltd. Spoke further on the creating awareness for the hepatitis B screening and vaccination and typhoid vaccination for every Nigerian.

As an experienced and a member of Association of community pharmacist of Nigeria, she expressed her heart felt compassion to reach out to the communities in Nigeria as her organization would work together with preventionist.

This program is also going round the Nigeria states as much as we are able to get support from private and government sectors.

She further said “Creating awareness on danger of contacting hepatitis B and how to prevent further spread of this deadly virus also how to prevent typhoid through vaccination is very eminent especially in Nigeria at this time that the spread is increasing greatly.

However, some of the participants of flag off event has this to say

“My name is Pastor Love, I thank God for this awareness program organized by Odeji Pharmacy and store, because I had a friend you contacted hepatitis virus and he could not make it, he has gone to the life eternal. Since I was a little be afraid of this disease but today I can here I was screened and find negative to the virus and got vaccinated I am very happy

I will like everyone to go for screen and if you are Luck and find negative to the hepatitis virus get vaccinated but if otherwise, go to the doctor and find help to manage it before it damage your liver.

I am going to tell my church members to participate in this screening exercise and get vaccinated even against typhoid.

This is good cause, Nigeria government should help the community creating awareness for the hepatitis B virus and support private organizations in their effort to help the community people get vaccinated against hepatitis and typhoid.”

Also Mrs Ifeoluwa Akande, the participant of the screening and vaccination exercise expressed her appreciation to God and the organization for the program. She said “I have been hearing of the virus but didn’t know how to go about it until to when people are talking about this program inside vehicle then I decided to come

I was screened in less than five minutes and got my result which is negative. I was very happy and now I just took my first stage vaccination remains two which I am going to take the second dose next month and last dose in December and I am forever secured from hepatitis B virus.

Everybody is advised to get vaccinated and get covered from been infected with the virus. Because the virus is dangerous and can be easily contacted through sweat, saliva, unprotected sexual intercourse, and blood contact. I even dangerous than almighty HIV.
